Charming and cosy: Radevormwald Youth Hostel

Welcome to the second oldest youth hostel in the world! But don't worry: you won't have to compromise on modern standards here. The hostel has been lovingly renovated and blends historical buildings with modern elements. Families, schools and kindergartens in particular appreciate its warm and charming atmosphere.

Get out of the hostel and into the wild landscape of the Bergisches Land. Hills, forests, scenic rivers and dams - experience nature at its best! Step out of the hostel and start your hike or bike ride in the Wiebachtal valley or to the surrounding dams in the region. Sports groups in particular benefit from the good local hiking trails and well-devised cycling routes of the youth hostel.

School classes use the surrounding woods and the city for exciting rallies, team training activities and adventure tours. Equipped with a compass, map and climbing rope, the kids make their way and overcome even the greatest obstacles as a team. The hostel also offers special "programme blocks" for a more customised holiday: instrument building, land and art and the sound of African rhythms are creative additions to any school trip, but also provide fun for all the family.

The nearby towns and the many attractions of the region prove that the Bergisches Land region has much more to offer than just nature and wilderness. Discover the highest steel lattice bridge in Germany, ride on the famous Wuppertal suspension railway or see more clearly at the X-Ray Museum in Remscheid!
